You are invited to our FREE screening and event of our short documentary series Creative Ladies in the Hills and Valleys at Burinja Cultural Center, Upwey on Saturday 28th May 1:30 - 4PM
The series features local artists and creatives living and working in the Dandenong Ranges and Yarra Valley. Focusing on artists' practices, the places
they call home,
the importance of social connections, community and positive wellbeing, within the backdrop of COVID-19 and recurrent lockdowns. Each woman bringing a unique personality, craft and wisdom on navigating life, creativity and self-care.
The artists all live and work in the Yarra Ranges, which embraces the Yarra Valley region and Dandenong Ranges. It is a sub rural region on the fringe of Melbourne, Australia which is known for its natural beauty, slowerlifestyle and strong sense of local community
WHO: Eight Yarra Ranges based creative women are featured including Painter - Clair Bremner; Indigenous artist - Nikki Browne; Watercolour Illustrator &
Artist - Ilana Greener; Visual Artist - Emma Jennings; Make Up & Visual Artist - Debra Kelly; Plant Stylist, Author & Designer - Alana Langan; Floral Designer - Claire Murray and Online Lifestyle Magazine Author - Sandi Sieger.
