Mildura Dust-Off

Body Weather provides strategies for exploring the interconnections of body and environment. It regards the body as something intermingled with its environment and continually changing, like the weather.

The Mildura Dust-Off was a 10 day residency by Body Weather Artists Frank Van de Ven (Amsterdam) and Peter Fraser (Melbourne).

During the residency, Peter and Frank traveled to various places in and around Mildura conducting their Body Weather practice, all the while being filmed by award winning film maker Vanessa White.

As part of the residency a number of opportunities were also offered to the public, including a four hour Body Weather Workshop, a Videography workshop with Vanessa White, and an Artist Forum. The residency then culminated with a captivating performance by Peter and Frank that had been developed over the course of their residency.

The films made by Vanessa White during the Dust-Off residency with be showcased to the public by Arts Mildura later this year. Photo: Vanessa White
